  • Hershel Berry, Managing Partner
  • has spent the past 15 years working with emerging private and public companies to secure key financial and business relationships. Prior experience includes serving as a Director of The Trout Group, an investor relations firm serving the life science sector and Idealab, a venture capital firm that incubates technology based companies. Through the years Hershel has remained active in No Mayo, an organization he founded in 1990 that supports music education in public schools. While at No Mayo, he secured corporate partnerships, and oversaw the organization's donations to public high schools in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City. Partnership highlights included: Sony Music Alliance Capital & Booz Allen Hamilton. Hershel has a B.S. in Business and English from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.

  • Christopher Kim, Managing Partner
  • comes to Blueprint after spending the past six years as Managing Director and Co-Portfolio Manager for J & W Seligman's HealthSpecturm Fund, where he was responsible for >$700M in assets. Prior to that, he was the Portfolio Manager of EGM Capital's MedTech Fund, specializing in public and private investments in emerging life science companies. Chris' sell-side analyst experience includes serving as Biotechnology Research Analyst for Prudential Vector Healthcare Group and Vice President, Research (Biotechnology) at Wells Fargo Securities. Chris holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with an emphasis in Bioengineering and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles, CA. He has authored numerous Wall Street sellside and scientific publications.

  • Laura J. Landry, Director
  • joins Blueprint after spending the past five years on Wall Street where she spearheaded Piper Jaffray's efforts around healthcare IPOs and follow-on offerings as the firm's Vice President, Healthcare Specialist based in New York City. Prior to that, Laura served as Vice President on Leerink Swann's Institutional Sales Team, focused on the build-out of Leerink's international footprint. Laura began her career at Bear Stearns as an Associate within Equity Research in the HCIT and pharma distribution spaces. She holds the Series 7, 63, 86, and 87 licenses. Laura earned a B.A. in Sociology from Princeton University, where she was a sprinter on the indoor and outdoor track and field teams and a contributing writer to the Daily Princetonian.

  • Michelle Melka, Advisor
  • joins Blueprint Life Science Group from Needham and Company, LLC, an investment bank focused on emerging growth industries. Prior to entering Wall Street she worked with Eli Lilly and Company as a sales representative where she partnered with thought leaders and brand teams to launch three best in class medications. This experience has enabled Michelle to see first-hand the practical realities of health care ecosystems; consisting of for-profit private companies, managed care organizations, private practice physicians, government regulation and the patient. She has a solid understanding of FDA regulations, the intricacies of new drug development and the market place for medical products. Michelle has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and English from Georgetown University.
